HT6221 SMD Multi-Purpose Encoder IC
The CMOS LSI encoders HT6221/HT6222 are developed for remote control applications. They are capable of encoding both 16-bit address codes and 8-bit data codes. Each data/address input can be set to either 0 or 1 in logic state. The HT6221 and HT6222, respectively, contain 32 (K1K32) and 64 (K1K64) keys. When one of the keys is hit, the programmed address/data, along with the header bits, is delivered over an IR (38kHz carrier) communication channel.
Encoders defined as logic semiconductor ICs (integrated circuits) that designed to encode and decode digital binary codes for inputs whilst decoders receive data transmissions in amateur radio frequency bands. Thus they constantly monitor incoming signals for valid DTMF digits. Meanwhile, these electronic circuits decode DTMF dial tones from telephone lines into touch-tone phones via a process known as tone dialing. An encoder IC manufactured to encode digital data from one format type or code to another that can accept multiple inputs and generate multi-bit output. Their primary functions are speed, security, also standardisation by shrinking the size.
